4TH EDITION

Hands-on Wildlife
Genomics Workshop

10-14 August and 19-21 August 2026
Pwani University Biosciences Research Centre
Kilifi, Kenya

About the Workshop

The Hands-on Wildlife Genomics Workshop is a five-day immersive training bringing together early-career researchers, university students, and conservation practitioners interested in applying genomic approaches to wildlife conservation. Participants gain hands-on experience in laboratory protocols, DNA extraction, library preparation, population genomics, environmental DNA, metagenomics and bioinformatics using real conservation datasets.
